Privacy Policy
The short version
Your game stays on your device: Family Town has no accounts and never sends your puzzles, progress or name to us. The game is free and shows ads served by Google AdMob and Unity Ads, and may measure installs with AppsFlyer. Those services receive device and ad-interaction data, and use your advertising identifier only if you allow tracking. Ads are limited to content suitable for all ages.
What stays on your device
So you can continue where you left off, Family Town saves the following on your device only, in its own private storage:
- your game progress: solved families and stars, coins, Town buildings, Daily Family results and streak, unlocked Past Families, Archive cases and puzzles in progress, with one backup copy;
- your Music, Sound effects and Haptics settings;
- a cache of Daily Family puzzles generated on the device, which iOS may clear at any time.
If an earlier version of Family Town was installed, the app reads the progress and settings that version left on the device once, to carry them over. Depending on your iCloud or computer backup settings, your saved game may be included in your device backups, which Family Town does not control or access.
Ads and measurement
Family Town requests ads through Google AdMob and the ad networks Google works with, and through Unity Ads, and may measure installs and ad performance with AppsFlyer. These services may receive:
- your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking;
- your IP address and, from it, an approximate location (country or city);
- device and app information such as model, operating system version, language and app version;
- how you interact with ads, such as views, clicks and installs.
They use this to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, under their own policies: how Google uses information from apps that use its services, Unity's privacy policy for game players and AppsFlyer privacy policy. We do not sell your information, and the game sends none of your puzzles or progress to them.
Your choices
iOS asks before any app can track you, and you can change your answer at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. Where the law requires it, for example in the EU and UK, Google's consent form asks before personalised ads, Settings › Privacy choices lets you change your answer, and Unity Ads shows only non-personalised ads there. If you don't allow tracking, ads are still shown but are not personalised.
Deleting your data
In Family Town, Settings › Reset all progress clears your game progress. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your device. To ask an ad partner about data it holds, use the policies linked above, or contact us and we will help.
Children
Family Town is a general-audience puzzle game. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page and in the app, with a new effective date.
